The episode begins with Anuj being relieved by his confession to Vanraj about his feelings for Anupama. While Pakhi is happy, Maaya is afraid of losing Anuj.
Anupama thanks to Kanha ji and is grateful. Anuj feels that his feelings have finally come out which he kept to himself. Pakhi hugs him and thanks him. She tells him that she knew Anupama and he cannot live without each other. She asks him to come with her to Ahmedabad.
Anupamaa 1st May 2023 Today's Episode Written Update
Maaya tells her that Anuj cannot go as there’s a parent-teacher meeting at Anu’s school. Pakhi feels that Anuj’s meeting with Anupama is more needed than anything else in this world. She requests him not to be late this time as it might worsen the situation. Anuj tells her that he’s going to come soon to Anupama. After he goes to his room, Pakhi warns Maaya not to ruin her life due to her one-sided love.
Hasmukh advises Anupama that both Anuj and she should give effort into their relationship and nobody can create distance between them. Kinjal hugs her. Anupama wipes her tears and asks Vanraj and Leela to focus on Samar and Dimpy’s wedding which they have broken due to misunderstanding and anger. She agrees with Leela that Dimpy has misbehaved with the family including her but wants her son to be happy marrying the girl he loves.
She requests them to agree to Samar and Dimpy’s wedding and shower their love on them. Vanraj asks her if Anuj loves her so much then why he left her in pain. Anupama gets fed up with him for always sticking to the same topic every time. Vanraj asks her to taunt him as much as she wants as she’s trying to hide her insecurities regarding Anuj going away to Mumbai.
He questions her if Anuj truly loves her then why he didn’t
think of her before going to Mumbai. He wonders if Anuj would repeat the same
mistake of leaving her again.
Anupama gets frustrated with him. She tells him that Anuj has won her trust and that will never break. Kavya tells her that people like Vanraj would never understand the meaning of trust as he has never earned it in his life. Anupama tells him that she trusts Anuj and his love for her. She tells him that Anuj will come back. Leela asks her not to start worshiping Anuj and focus on Dimpy and Samar.
Anupama asks her to teach Vanraj not to talk about Anuj every time. Kavya tells Leela and Vanraj how they were praising Anupama before they came to know that Anuj will come back to her.
Anupama asks her to calm down. Hasmukh asks Samar and Dimpy if they want to marry each other. Vanraj feels Samar and Dimpy cannot continue their marriage. Anupama rebukes him for talking negatively. She tells Samar and Dimpy that respect and love are needed to stay together in the relationship.
Vanraj tells them that their fight is an indication of their upcoming marriage as both Dimpy and Samar are rude. He makes it clear that he’s not going to spend his hard-earned money on a wedding that has no guarantee to last. Leela asks them who's going to spend on behalf of Dimpy. Anupama tells her that she will spend on behalf of Dimpy. Dimpy asks her not to worry as Anuj will take her responsibility. Leela rebukes Dimpy for not being grateful to Anupama who has always been with her.
Vanraj reminds Dimpy that Anuj didn’t take her responsibility to spend on the wedding. Dimpy assures him that Anuj will spend at her wedding no matter what. Anupama is surprised by her attitude. She feels that the wedding is most important not the expenditure. Samar kneels in front of Anupama and touches her feet. As he gets emotional, Anupama tries to calm him down.
He tells Anupama that nobody can replace a mother and apologizes to her for hurting her so much. He accepts that both Dimpy and he have caused her pain but she never left their side. He breaks down for hurting her and decides to be that good soon again. Leela is surprised as Dimpy didn’t apologize to Anupama. Samar thanks Anupama for taking responsibility for saving his love again.
Dimpy breaks down in front of Anupama and apologizes for her
behavior. Anuj is grateful to Kanha ji for giving him the courage to face the
truth. He prays for Anupama’s well bring and Samar and Dimpy’s happy marriage.

Anupama tells Kanta and Bhavesh that Anuj will come back to her soon. Kavya is happy that Anuj and Anupama will reunite again. Vanraj tells her that Anuj hasn’t come yet. Maaya puts on sindoor, wears mangalsutra, and decides not to let Anuj leave her.
