The episode begins in the Shah house. Maaya reveals to everyone that Anirudh wants to start afresh with Kavya. Leela asks Kavya if Maaya is telling the truth.
Kavya stays silent. Maaya apologizes to Kavya for telling the truth to everyone as she wanted to prove that Anuj has hidden the truth about the picnic night as he didn’t want to hurt Anupama. She asks Leela if she doesn’t want Vanraj and Anupama to come together again. She questions Vanraj if he doesn’t think about getting back together with Anupama. Anuj is shocked by Maaya’s words.
Anupamaa 5th March 2023 Today's Episode Written Update
Maaya tells them that Anuj and she had decided to hide the truth from Anupama so that she doesn’t get upset. She blames Kavya for not controlling herself and revealing her secret to everyone which messed up the special day for everyone. She tells clearly that it was her mistake and so she deserves to hear the bitter words, not Anuj.
Leela asks her what proves that both Anuj and she are together in it and planned it previously. She blames Anuj for getting involved with Maaya. Anupama stops her and tells her that she’s not ready to hear a word against her husband. She decides to solve the matter in her house. She asks Leela to handle her family matters. Hasmukh asks Anupama to decide on her heart and assures her that he’s there for her. Barkha asks Anupama to go ahead as Ankush and she will bring Anu with them.
After the Kapadias and Maaya leave, Vanraj gives an angry look to Kavya. Later, when Kavya was sitting in her room, Vanraj enters and questions her if she’s planning to be Anirudh’s wife. He asks her if she wants to go back to Anirudh. Kavya makes it clear to him that she doesn’t want to go back to Anirudh as she doesn’t love him. She tells him that she didn’t want to share anything with him so didn’t tell him the truth. Vanraj praises her for bringing the real Anuj in front of Anupama.
Samar tells his siblings that he had plans regarding Anupama’s birthday which Maaya has ruined. Pakhi feels that Maaya is a cheap woman who took advantage of Anupama’s good nature and wants Anupama to throw Maaya out of the house. Kinjal tells her that Anupama will take the decision considering everything. Dimpy feels Maaya isn’t wrong as she has just loved Anuj.
Kinjal tells her that falling in love with another’s husband is wrong. Pakhi asks Dimpy why she’s supporting Maaya and feels that Maaya and she are the same. Dimpy tells her that if Maaya goes out of the house then she will take Anu with her and Anuj loves his daughter a lot. Pakhi tells them that Anuj has to choose between Anupama and Anu then.
Anuj drives back to Kapadia's house. Anupama is beside him. Both of them recall the incident that happened in the Shah house. Anupama wipes her tears. Vanraj is glad that Anuj has a real side and isn’t a great man. He tells Kavya that there’s no difference between Anuj and him. Kavya tells him that she was trying to uncover Maaya’s truth but not Anuj who’s a good person and not like a typical man.
Vanraj tells her that the truth is Anuj has cheated Anupama and Maaya and Anuj will be caught red-handed by Anupama soon. He tells her that whatever she did made Anuj and Anupama’s marriage in danger. Kavya fears that she has done something wrong though she intended to protect Anuj and Anupama.
Dimpy tells that they shouldn’t think extremely as Maaya doesn’t want to get in between Anuj and Anupama. Kinjal tells her that they cannot trust Maaya any longer. Pakhi asks Dimpy to leave the house if she wants to support Maaya. Samar asks her to behave properly with Dimpy.
Pakhi asks her what’s wrong with him as he used to support Anupama always but is supporting Maaya. When the argument reaches its peak, Leela arrives and asks Dimpy why she’s still there and creating issues between the siblings. Kinjal asks her to relax as she will handle everything. When Anupama and Anuj reach home, she questions him why he hides the truth from her. Anuj stays silent. Anupama gets emotional and asks Anuj why he listened to Maaya’s suggestion. She tells Anuj what he did is wrong by hiding the truth from her. She tells him that she’s hurt very much. Anuj holds her and tells her that he wouldn’t give her any explanation as he did wrong to her.
He tells her that he doesn’t want her to feel the pain of
betrayal though he wasn’t wrong. He apologizes to her for not keeping his
promise and asks her if she trusts him. Anupama tells him that she trusts him
more than the almighty. Anuj kisses her on her forehead and hugs her.

Anupama throws Maaya out of the house. Anuj asks Maaya to leave. Maaya tells them that she will leave along with her daughter and nobody can stop her from doing so.
