The episode begins with Samar celebrating his mother’s new
job. Anupamaa’s mother in law is disappointed with the news as she worries
about the kitchen duties which Anupamaa handles.
Anupamaa feels happy thinking about her job. She goes to
Pakhi’s room to thank her as her words gave her the courage to do something for
herself. She reminisces and tells Pakhi about her weakness in mathematics and
how everyone in the family kept motivating her. Anupamaa asks Pakhi to give her
one chance to try to do something for herself.

She then goes to Paritosh’s room to help her with some
cooking videos on his laptop. Paritosh denies to do her help and tells her that
he’s busy discussing notes. He asks her to go to Samar for seeking help.
Leela’s brother asks Anupamaa to try a dish he has cooked. Anupamaa finds the
dish tasty. Mama ji gives her the recipe diary which he had with himself.
Anupamaa thanks mama ji. She then goes to pack her bag for
her first day at the job. Her happiness gets reflected as she tries to give a demonstration
for her the next day. She makes mistakes in her sayings and corrects herself
happily.
Vanraj comes home and Anupamaa hugs him as he arrives. She thanks her husband for allowing her to do the job. Vanraj warns her that his family and children shouldn’t suffer for her job.

disappointed with his words. In the morning, Anupamaa’s household comes early
as she will be going to school for her first day at work. The household tells
Anupamaa that she will be coming early on the days the latter goes for the
work. Anupamaa is surprised to see Samar waking up so early in the morning.

Samar tells her that he is worried about her first day at
school just like she was when he was a kid. Anupamaa hurries to finish her
chores early before going to school. Vanraj works out in the morning. Anupamaa
brings protein shake for him. She wants her husband to accompany her to the
school but hesitates in saying her feelings to him and couldn’t tell him.
Samar asks his mother to express her feelings to his father.
Anupamaa runs to complete the rest of her work. Pakhi is disappointed as her
mother is joining her school as a cooking teacher. Vanraj consoles her and asks
her to calm down as Anupamaa will not be able to take the workload and will
leave the job. Anupamaa hurries to complete her works and keeps rehearsing how
to address the children. She then goes to serve everyone at the breakfast
table.
Samar encourages her mother to tell Vanraj about dropping
her to school. But she cannot gather enough courage to tell Vanraj about her
feelings. Anupamaa asks Pakhi if they can go together to school. But Pakhi
ignores her. Leela doesn’t want Anupamaa to work outside. Mama ji taunts Leela
for interfering in everyone’s matter.
Samar is disappointed with his father for not remembering the
Anupamaa’s first day at the job. Anupamaa becomes nervous as time passes by.
Kavya comes to Shah's house. She welcomes Kavya and brings her favorite
breakfast.
She asks Kavya and Vanraj to sit for breakfast. Samar reminds Anupamaa to get ready for the school. Anupamaa serves them breakfast. Samar tells that a wife can take better care than a girlfriend. He also jokingly tells Vanraj to adjust little as his mother has become a working woman just like Kavya.
